Pregnancy

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd give everyone a little update on my pregnancy. Well, it's wonderful. I love being pregnant. Clayson loves moving when there is a lot of noise and at night when I lay down. It really amazes me at how fast I'm showing with this pregnancy. I'm 18 weeks today (roughly 4 1/2 months). My belly is shaped very different compared to my pregnancy with Alexandria. I'm carrying very high and kind of pointed. People say that's because I'm having a boy. I don't have any crazy cravings although I have been wanting English Muffins and Yogurt (not necessarily at the same time). These cravings are much healthier than the corndogs I craved when pregnant with Alexandria. Everytime we talk about baby Clayson she likes to touch my tummy and sometimes will talk to him in a high pitched tone. She tells us that there is a baby in her tummy too. The other day I asked her if she is my "big girl" and her reply was suprising to me. She said, "No mommy, I you baby." So I let her know that she is my baby girl and baby Clayson is my baby boy. She's satisfied with that. I still haven't scanned my ultra-sound pictures and since I'm having another in about 2 weeks I'll wait until then and post pictures from both ultra-sounds.
I went back to school last week and my classes seem to be fun. (I can't believe I just said school is fun.) I usually take 12 units but this semester I'm taking 15. But I'm graduating in May with my Bachelor's Degree and will be finished unless I later decide to get my masters. So when I walk to receive my diploma I'm sure it will be more of a waddle than a walk. I told James today that I'm starting to feel a little off balance and find my self walking a little different. I guess it's true that every pregnancy is different. But one things for sure...it's wonderful!

little Miss Lips

Alexandria loves watching movies and eating "pacorn." Auntie Alise got her started on that one. She pulled her little couch up to our loveseat, turned it long ways and stretched herself out (like James and I do on the couches). She has become very picky with which shows she watches. When I suggest the Wiggles she wants Mickey Mouse. She's very into everything on Playhouse Disney and conviently they play Disneyland commercials over and over. She's been telling us and Gaga (my mom) that she wants to go to Mickey Mouse's house. I think a trip to Disneyland is in our future.

Alexandria loves to play with make up...also her Auntie's doing. If you look closely at this picture you can see her "lips." She wanted to put her own lip gloss on and didn't want it off. Gaga handed her a mirror so she could look at herself and she rolled her eyes and wouldn't look into it because it wasn't hers. When I handed Alexandria her little pink compact mirror she looked into it and said, "aawww cute." I definately have my hands full with little Miss Lips!

The little helper

Happy (late) New Year!

We recently found out that we're having a boy. We are so excited. His name is Clayson James. (As soon as I scan the ultrasound pictures I'll be sure to post them.) Alexandria tells everyone her baby's name is "Kayson James." For Christmas we bought her a doll house and there is an entire family that goes along with it. She's named them all after our family memebers. There is even a baby Clayson. The other day she was playing with her dolls and she held the Auntie Alise and Uncle Josh dolls and said "You're my best friend." I'm not sure where she heard that, but it was cute.

When James washes the vehicles, he usually lets Alexandria "help." And when she does she wants to wear her rain boots. After I took this picture she wanted to see it and said, "Aw how cute." I guess I say that often when I take a picture of her and she's definately picking up everything we say. She amazes me daily. She says things that make me want to laugh, but they're things I know I shouldn't laugh at. Like "hold on Mommy, okay" and "wait a minute, I'll be right back." She's been asking the why question quite often and I hear my mom in my answers (because I said so). As much as I always said I won't be just like my mom...I was wrong!
