Moving is crazy! We completed everything...unpacking and hanging pictures on the walls last week. It feels good to be settled.
Alexandria loves her new room. She has so much floor space to play. We set up her princess table and chairs in the hallway...it's her "art center." We have a section of our living room for the kids. It's perfect...they have their own space and we can still watch them. Alexandria is enjoying having friends her age close in the neighborhood. Saturday we had two of her friends from dance over. I love watching her play. Her imagination is unbelievable. The other day she was on one of her play phones carrying on a coversation with some imaginary person. She's a crack up!
Clayson is accomplishing some new tasks. He's trying to walk. He'll crawl up to something so he can pull himself up to a standing position then just let go and take about 1o steps. He gets all excited. He walks with his hands up and he wrinkles his nose and kind of snorts. It's cute. I can't believe he's going to be 11 months Saturday!!! He says "uh-oh" about everything. It's become a game. He drops something and looks up says "uh-oh." He's also very mischievous. He gets into everything. The other day he was so quite...when I checked on him I couldn't believe he had pulled the tissue out of 2 new boxes. He's also been into climbing and pushing. He climbs onto furniture and into carseats. He pushes the kitchen chairs all around. He's even tried to push Alexandria. When I tell him "no" he smirks and quickly crawls away. Needless to say...he's got me on my toes!
At Alexandria's school last Friday they had a Mother's Day tea. The children had been preparing a presentation for the Moms. Alexandria froze. The teacher told me she was very suprised because Alexandria usually is the most outgoing and excited to participate. I surely hope this isn't going to be the case at her dance recital in June.
Mother's Day was nice. We spent the afternoon at my Aunt Margie's house. Alexandria had a blast playing with her cousins and Mason and Morgan. Clayson had fun playing with cereal and the dogs. It was such a nice day!!!
Mom's mother's day gift...a purse ice cream cake
P.S.
Thanks, Jennie, for the housewarming and Mother's Day flowers. They're beautiful!!!

This picture of Clayson is quite funny. He has his pacifier in his mouth and a spoon on his nose.
