Guiseppe is all better

James took Guiseppe to the vet today for a check up. He's all better!!! He got a bath tonight and now he's nice and clean.

His personality is really starting to show. He's so playful. If we're not really paying attention to him he'll sit in front of us and look up and bark...if that's what you want to call it. His bark sounds like a squeaky toy.

He's doing very good with potty training...the next step is training Alexandria...but not with the pee-pee pads :) Guiseppe goes to the front door and sniffs around in a circle when he needs to go out. We're so happy he's all better!!!

He likes sleeping in his bed with his head hanging down to the floor.

What a day!!!
James had to get up early this morning for a meeting in Bakersfield and as he was leaving he reminded me that it is our 3 year anniversary (not that I forgot or anything, but it was very early!). I went back to sleep and got up at 8 to get Alexandria ready for school. I put her in the car and went to start it just to find out that it wasn't starting. My automatic seat wasn't even working. I had to have AAA jump my car so it could be taken somewhere to get fixed. Josh drove my car to the service center and called on the way there...the car died. It starts now.
This evening James took me to dinner at Tokyo Garden for our anniversary and my mom took care of Alexandria. It was so nice to have some time for the two of us.
Guiseppe Update
Guiseppe has really grown on all of us...even Papaw. He's so playful! Alexandria gets a kick out of telling him when he needs to potty and when to get out of her room. She tells him "this is my stuff." I guess we're getting a glympse of what it's going to be like very soon when she has a brother.

James and I have noticed Guiseppe scratching anytime he's not sleeping or playing. Scratching to the point of yelping. James took him to the vet today and was told that he has a form of scabies. They told James that this form of scabies does not affect humans. (The vet said that if a human touches it, the scabies will die on human skin.) He is to have a cream applied the affected area twice a day and goes back next week for a check up. We're hoping this clears it up. It's miserable to watch him scratch so much.

Two Little Dolls

Alexandria loves her dolls and when my mom found a dress with a matching doll dress she knew Alexandria would love it. (Thanks Gaga...she did love it!) Sunday morning when I got her ready for Church she became very excited when she saw that her doll "Janelle" was going to match her. It's so fun being the mom of a little doll!

They're home

Alise and Josh are finally here! We are all so excited. They arrived Wednesday around 7pm. It's suppose to be a 26 hour drive and they made it in 30...that includes a stop to the Grand Canyon. They were determined to get home FAST! It still doesn't feel real that they are here to stay.

Everytime we've been in the car since Alexandria saw Auntie and Uncle Josh she thinks we're going to see them. She hasn't really let either of them breath. Did I already mention we're excited they're home!!!!!!!

God will add...

Well I was suppose to have my minor surgery Thurdsay, but it ended up being a consoltation. They gave me a date of April 3rd, but placed me on a cancellation list. I received a call yesterday with an opening for this morning. So, needless to say, I had the surgery this morning. My mom took me and James stayed home with Alexandria. The doctor gave me a local anesthetic, which only took care of a small portion of the area he was cutting. I felt a bit of it and thought I was going to get sick. My mom let me squeeze her hand (I'm still a momma's girl) and the Doctor gave me some more anesthetic. I began to feel better and then it was over. Everything went well...and thank you to all of you that kept me in your prayers.

When I came home this afternoon James told me that he had to run an errand for work and that he'd take Alexandria so I could rest. When he came home nearly an hour later there was a little something he brought. A tiny 1 pound Yourkie/Maltese 9 week old puppy. I couldn't believe he bought a dog. We've named him Guiseppe which means "God will add." I told him that's perfect, because that's exactly what has happened. God has added to our family. Alexandria has told us over and over all day that Zeppe is her puppy. She even cuddled him up in a blanket while he napped. He's so much fun...and it's a lot of fun watching Alexandria's reaction to him. I still can't believe James came home with a dog!!!

James' hand on Zeppe...this shows how tiny he is.

Painting

Puckering up with her painted "make-up"

Alexandria loves to paint! This morning while I was doing things around the house she asked to paint. I set up her stuff and continued on doing house work. When she had painted all over her page she was ready for another. She then decided to finger paint...which lead to applying "make-up." I pulled out the camera and she looked up saing "Cheese." She made some beautiful art work!
