Alexandria started Kindergarten

Alexandria started Kindergarten about a month ago. It's hard to believe that my little girl is in school! She loves it. She was disappointed the first Friday when I explained to her that she had no school for 2 days. Homework started this week, and she was so excited. She was finished with her part (Mommy & Daddy get to read each night) a day early.
Her teacher (Mrs. Dean) was pregnant and had her baby the second week of school. The sub (Ms. Corker) was there the first few days of school. Alexandria loves her, and can't wait for Mrs. Dean to come back. I think that she thinks they both will be teaching together. She asked why Mrs. Dean can't just bring her baby to school every day so she can see her. She doesn't quite understand the point of maternity leave.
Hopefully she keeps the excitement for school! :)
She wanted to get extra fancy for the first day of school and found some lip stick
She was so excited to see that her school has a hop-scotch area on the playground. Clayson called the playground a "park."

"Marak" Obama

Tuesday when President Obama was giving his speech James watched it with kids playing in the same room. Apparently Alexandria was paying attention. The next morning she was pretending to watch imaginary TV and said that "Marak Obama" was on. I thought it was cute and wanted to share.

Food for thought

My grandpa brought some lemons over. I think they were given steroids. The smaller on is an actual sized lemon. CRAZY!

The referee: Trace

not so happy anymore

"Team Cheetah" had their first game Saturday morning. Alexandria was so excited to play! The day before we painted her nails like soccer balls (white with black polka dots) and I made a "soccer bow" for her hair. She had an audience cheering for her (Auntie Alise, Gaga, Uncle Joey, Mark, Trace, Nicole, Daddy, Mommy & Clayson). Trace was the volunteer referee. The team practice for about 20 mintues. During the practice I caught Alexandria drifting off and staring at her nails. What a girly girl! Then it was time to play the "game." She really was excited until it was time to play...of course! Once the game began and she noticed how rough the boys were she just stood at one end of the field and wouldn't move. She was happy once she had to sit out and wouldn't go back in. She even said she didn't like soccer and wanted to give the "team shirt" back. Once the game was over, it was picture time. She snapped out of her "mood" and was perky and excited to take pictures. On the way home she decided she likes soccer, but wants to be the goalie next week. So...we'll see how it goes next Saturday?!?!

Alexandria's ear piercing

The first visit.

A suprised face!

Today Alexandria and I spent the day together. We called it a girl's day. We went to Target and she wanted to look at the clothes in her size, then at the accessories. She saw some earring and said she wanted to get her ears pierced. James and I had discussed the issue a long time ago and both agreed that when, and if she wanted to we would let her. She asked her Daddy and he made sure she really wanted to. We went home, took some tylenol, got the camera and Auntie Alise. We went to Claire's, pick out the earrings, she was all ready and had this look on her face. I asked what was wrong, she said, "I'm just kidding, Mommy." Translation: "I changed my mind." So, we left and headed to the movies. When the show was over, as we were leaving the parking lot she said she wanted to go get her ears pierced. Auntie and I made sure she was serious this time. She was so excited! She cried a little and when she realized there was no blood she was ok. Now she's very excited!
The second visit

I live: in my mom's house for a while with my sister, brother, husband, 2 kids, and a total of 3 dogs! Yes, Chaos...but we're making it work for a while.
I work: as a full time mommy...I love it!
I smell: yummy food.
I listen: to Clayson scream and Alexandria sing throughout the day.
I hide: money from myself in hopes that I will find it later and get excited. Weird huh?
I walk: pushing a stroller.
I write: or how about text...all the time.
I see: but probably need glasses.
I sing: to my kids only. Nobody else would want to hear it.
I can: cook, clean, do laundry, make beds, clean toys 1000 times a day and still survive.
I watch: my shows off DVR when the kids are asleep.
I daydream: about how I want to decorate my house when I move.
I want: To move into my own house.
I cry: when I'm happy, sad, or just because.
I read: kids books daily.
I love: hearing my kids laugh.
I rode: a horse a long time ago and have no intention of ever riding agian.
I sometimes: wish I could take a nap.
I fear: too many things. I am paranoid.
I hope: I make the right decisions for my family.

I know: I am loved.
I hate: liars.
I wish: moving wasn't so difficult.
I wear: jeans, shirts, heels because I'm so short, and jewelry.
Maybe I should: go do laundry right now.
People would say that I'm: always moving. I need to just sit down and relax.
I don't understand: why people make big deals of NOTHING.
My past is: complicated like a soap opera.
I get annoyed when: the phone rings a million times when I'm trying to get ready to go somewhere.

Touching Story

The other day I was watching a recorded episode of Oprah. It was about miracle children. All the stories touched me, however this one made me cry. It truly is a touching story. Check out the link below to view it.
